ampersend Is Now in Open Beta

Policies, approvals, and audit trails for every agent transaction. Sign up today.

Doug Antin

Agents are transacting. Governance hasn't kept up.

Autonomous AI agents are already spending real money: calling LLM APIs, provisioning cloud infrastructure, subscribing to SaaS tools, and paying for data. They're also becoming customers, purchasing access to services and endpoints on behalf of the organizations that deploy them.

This spending is growing fast. Projections for AI-driven commerce reach $30 trillion by 2030. Yet most teams deploying agents today have no centralized way to set budgets, enforce spending policies, or maintain the audit trails that finance, legal, and risk teams require.

We built ampersend to close that gap and today, we're opening the platform to everyone.

What ampersend does

ampersend is the control layer for the agent economy. It gives teams a single platform to govern agent transactions on both sides: the money your agents spend, and the money your services earn from other agents.

Buy side: control what your agents spend

Every agent you deploy through ampersend gets its own budget with configurable rules. You define daily limits, merchant allowlists, single-transaction thresholds, and time-based restrictions. Every transaction clears a policy check before funds move. If a charge falls outside your rules, it gets blocked. If it's borderline or high-value, it routes to a human for review.

ampersend is how you prevent the $47,000 runaway API bill.

Sell side: control who pays and how much

APIs and services are increasingly being consumed by agents, not humans. ampersend lets you define pricing, rate limits, access rules, and verification requirements for every endpoint. Inbound payments are validated before your service responds, so you maintain full control over who accesses what and at what cost.

Observability and audit trails

Every transaction, approval, and block is logged with a reason and fully exportable. Finance teams get the spend data they need. Legal gets the compliance trail. Risk teams get real-time visibility into anomalies. ampersend is the one dashboard that covers everything.

Built for the tools you already use

ampersend integrates with the major agent frameworks and protocols, so adoption doesn't require rewriting your stack:

  • LangChain for agent orchestration
  • Google A2A for agent-to-agent interoperability
  • Google ADK for agent development
  • MCP (Model Context Protocol) for tool use
  • x402 for per-request payments
  • Base + USDC for stablecoin settlement

Regardless of what stack you work with, when you use ampersend, your agent's funds remain under your control at all times, with no custodial counterparty risk.

Built with the right partners

ampersend was developed in collaboration with Coinbase, Google, and the Ethereum Foundation's AI team. It integrates the ERC-8004 standard to bring transparency to AI-driven commerce at the protocol level.

What's included in the open beta

The open beta gives you full access to:

What's coming next

On the near-term roadmap:

  • Agent Cards: A dedicated card for every agent with built-in observability, budgets, and controls
  • The Agent Registry, a unified directory for discovering agents, verifying identities, and building trust across the ecosystem
  • Fiat on-ramp and off-ramp: Fiat in, stablecoin settlement, fiat out, with no reconciliation overhead
  • Self-custody wallets: Full production release of non-custodial agent wallets
  • Expanded protocol support: Additional integrations as the agent ecosystem grows
